Legal documents, acceptance records, and security reporting
Action requiredThis is the first entry in the Katching changelog. It describes what is running in production today.
Katching now publishes nine legal documents instead of five, and thirteen pages per language instead of seven. The terms of service were rewritten. The Katching Payments Terms ship with an availability notice, alongside a new acceptable use policy, a subprocessor list, and an AI policy.
What changed for you
- Both sign-up doors now carry an acceptance checkbox. It is never pre-checked, and it is required.
- Every acceptance is recorded with the document version and the language the document was displayed in.
- Accounts created before this release are on
version 0. They see a banner asking them to accept the current terms. - The Katching Payments card in your admin is marked
Coming soon. It is a placeholder, and it does not do anything yet.
Reporting a security problem
There is now a security page, a disclosure policy, and a /.well-known/security.txt file. If you find a vulnerability, that page tells you where to send it and what to expect.
